About
Raw squid is a flexible seafood that packs into measuring cups at slightly less weight than water.
Raw squid has a bulk density of roughly 7.9 ounces per US cup (0.95 grams per milliliter). When cleaned and chopped, its slick, pliable flesh settles into containers with only small air gaps between pieces. This density is very similar to other boneless raw meats and seafood, such as peeled shrimp or diced white fish.
