About
The giant squid is a massive deep-sea mollusk that stretches to the length of a city transit bus.
Much of this animal's total length comes from its two thin feeding tentacles, while its central body mantle is only about 6.6 feet (2 m) long. Females generally grow slightly larger than males. While the giant squid is longer than the colossal squid, it is much lighter because its body is far less bulky.
From Wikipedia

It can grow to a tremendous size, offering an example of abyssal gigantism; recent estimates put the maximum body size at around 5 m (16 ft) for females, with males slightly shorter, from the posterior fins to the tip of its long arms.
