The short version
No accounts and no sign-up. We don’t sell personal information. We keep only what’s needed to run the site, stop abuse and keep it free with ads.
What we collect
Your searches. What you type is sent to an AI model (through OpenRouter) to work out the amount and the thing you mean. Answers become public pages, so please don’t type anything personal into the search box.
A scrambled form of your IP address. We turn your IP address into a one-way code to enforce the daily limit on new photos, and to count each person’s photo report only once. The raw address isn’t kept with these records.
Page view counts. We count how many times each page is viewed, as a single number per page, to sort Browse by “Most viewed”. Nothing about you is stored with it.
Server logs. Our host (Railway) and network provider (Cloudflare) keep standard request logs for security and reliability.
Cookies
We set one cookie of our own, to remember whether you prefer metric or US units. It’s not used for tracking. Until you choose, we guess from your approximate country, which Cloudflare passes along with each request and we don’t store.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners show you ads based on those visits. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, or opt out of other vendors’ personalised ads at aboutads.info. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, you’re asked for consent before any personalised ads are shown.
AI photos
Every photo is made by an AI image model from exact measurements and is labelled as AI-generated, on the page and inside the image file. Photos show amounts and objects, never real people you could identify. If a photo looks wrong or inappropriate, use “Report a problem” under it.
Developers and agents
If you use the API or MCP server, we count requests per API key (or per scrambled IP address without a key) to apply daily limits.
Children
VisualizeVolume is a general-audience reference site. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
