A kind of cheese

About
Cream cheese is a dense, spreadable fresh dairy product that packs slightly more weight than water into the same cup.
With a density of about 0.61 ounces per cubic inch (1.05 g/mL), cream cheese is slightly denser than pure water because it has very little trapped air. A standard 8-ounce (227 g) supermarket block takes up about 0.92 US cups (216 mL) of space. This compact structure makes it heavier by volume than whipped cheeses or butter. It takes up almost the exact same space per ounce as mascarpone and other fresh, high-fat soft cheeses.
From Wikipedia
Cream cheese is a soft, usually mild-tasting fresh cheese made from milk and cream. Cream cheese is not naturally matured and is meant to be consumed fresh, so it differs from other soft cheeses, such as Brie and Neufchâtel.
