A kind of sausage · also called Raw sausage, Fresh sausage, Sausage meat
About
Uncooked sausage is a dense blend of seasoned ground meat that packs closely into casings or measuring cups.
Uncooked sausage has a bulk density of about 59.3 pounds per cubic foot (0.95 grams per milliliter), making it slightly lighter than liquid water. The mixture of ground meat, fat, and seasonings presses together closely with very little empty space. It takes up similar volume to other prepared meat blends and sits slightly heavier in a cup than loosely packed ground beef.
From Wikipedia
