About
A wheelbarrow is a compact, single-wheeled hand cart designed for one person to move heavy yard and construction loads.
Most residential wheelbarrows carry between 4 and 6 cubic feet (113 to 170 L) of material, though heavy-duty contractor models can be much larger. Plastic versions weigh considerably less than steel tubs while keeping the same basic dimensions. Compared to two-wheeled garden carts, the single-wheel layout stays narrow enough to fit easily through standard backyard gates.
From Wikipedia
A wheelbarrow is a small hand-propelled load-bearing vehicle, usually with just one wheel, designed to be pushed and guided by a single person using two handles at the rear. The term "wheelbarrow" is made of two words: "wheel" and "barrow." "Barrow" is a derivation of the Old English "barew" which was a device used for carrying loads.
