A kind of coin · also called quarter, US quarter, quarter dollar
About
The United States quarter is a common American twenty-five-cent coin that measures less than an inch across.
Among regular circulating American coinage, the quarter is larger than a dime, penny, or nickel, but smaller than a half dollar. It is thin enough that a stack of fourteen quarters reaches roughly one inch high. The coin is minted to strict physical specifications so automated vending machines and coin counters can easily verify it.
