A kind of egg · also called quail eggs
About
Quail eggs are small edible poultry eggs that pack loosely into measuring cups due to their rounded shape.
Whole quail eggs have a bulk density of about 5.4 oz per cup (0.65 g/mL) because of the air spaces between their shells. A standard 1 cup (237 mL) container holds about 5.4 oz (154 g) of whole eggs. This makes them lighter by volume than shelled liquid eggs or water, which fill space completely. Because quail eggs are small, they pack together with smaller air pockets than larger chicken eggs.
From Wikipedia
