About
Honey is a dense, sweet liquid made by bees that weighs noticeably more than an equal volume of water.
Honey has a typical density of roughly 11.9 pounds per gallon (1.42 grams per milliliter), packing substantial weight into small containers. Because bees remove excess water from nectar to concentrate its sugars, it ends up much heavier by volume than milk or fruit juices. It is also thicker and denser than most culinary oils and table syrups. A standard quart jar filled with honey weighs nearly 3 pounds (1.34 kilograms).
From Wikipedia
