About
A standard sugar cube is a compact block of sweetener measuring just over half an inch on each side.
Each cube contains roughly one teaspoon of granulated sugar pressed into a solid shape. Dimensions vary slightly by manufacturer, but most cubes remain close to this half-inch size to sit neatly on a saucer or teaspoon. They were created to replace large, dense sugar cones that people once had to chip apart by hand.
From Wikipedia
Sugar cubes are white sugar granules pressed into small cubes measuring approximately 1 teaspoon each. They are usually used for sweetening drinks such as tea and coffee.
