About
The Zoox robotaxi is a compact, purpose-built autonomous electric vehicle with a short footprint and a tall cabin.
Unlike self-driving cars converted from regular production models, this vehicle is designed specifically for autonomous ride-hailing with bidirectional driving capabilities. Its short length makes it easy to maneuver in tight city streets, while the upright profile provides head room for four passengers seated face-to-face. Despite its compact footprint, the large battery pack, heavy safety cage, and onboard sensor suite give it a curb weight comparable to a full-size pickup truck.
