About
A standard school bus is a massive passenger vehicle built to carry dozens of students safely.
School buses vary in size, ranging from small van-based models to large transit-style coaches. Full-size buses can extend past 40 feet (12 m) and carry over 80 passengers, while smaller short buses are often under 25 feet (7.6 m). Their high ground clearance and heavy steel frames place the passenger floor well above the hoods of ordinary cars.
From Wikipedia
A school bus is any type of bus owned, leased, contracted to, or operated by a school or school district. It is regularly used to transport students to and from school or school-related activities, but not including a charter bus or transit bus.
