About
A stretch limousine is an extended luxury car built to seat groups by dramatically lengthening a standard sedan frame.
Builders create these vehicles by cutting a factory luxury car in half and inserting a custom middle section. While standard sedans measure around 16 feet (4.9 m), stretch models easily reach between 20 feet (6.1 m) and 30 feet (9.1 m) depending on the seating layout. Because they retain the standard car height of under 5 feet (1.5 m), they appear remarkably long and low to the ground. Their extreme length adds thousands of pounds, requiring heavy-duty brakes and a much wider turning radius on city streets.
