A kind of soft drink · also called Soda pop, Pop, Fizzy drink, Carbonated soft drink
About
Soda is a sweetened, carbonated beverage that is slightly heavier than water due to dissolved sugars.
Regular soda has a density of roughly 8.68 ounces per cup (1.04 grams per milliliter), making it about four percent denser than pure water. Dissolved sugars, such as sucrose or high-fructose corn syrup, account for this added weight. Because of this density difference, a standard can of regular soda sinks in water, while a can of diet soda floats. A standard 12 fluid ounce can holds about 13 ounces (369 grams) of soda by weight.
From Wikipedia
