A kind of billiard ball · also called Billiard ball, Pocket billiard ball

About
A standard pool ball is a dense resin sphere measuring about 2.25 inches across and weighing under six ounces.
Standard American pool balls are slightly larger than balls used in snooker, which typically measure 2.06 inches (5.2 cm) across. Carom and Russian pyramid billiard balls are larger, with Russian balls reaching up to 2.68 inches (6.8 cm) in diameter. Regulation sets tolerate size differences of only a tiny fraction of an inch to ensure consistent rolls and true rebounds. Despite their compact size, their solid phenolic resin composition gives them a surprisingly dense, heavy feel in the hand.
