About
The Keeshond is a medium-sized spitz dog breed known for its compact frame and thick silver-and-black coat.
As a member of the German spitz family, the Keeshond is much larger than a toy Pomeranian but closely matches the medium-sized Mittelspitz. Its thick double coat, voluminous neck ruff, and curled tail make the dog look significantly heavier than its actual weight. Males usually stand slightly taller and stockier than females, though both sexes remain compact, sturdy house dogs.
