About
The Great Dane is a giant German dog breed originally bred for hunting that stands among the tallest domestic dogs.
Along with the Irish Wolfhound, this German breed ranks among the tallest domestic dogs in existence. Males are typically larger and heavier than females, carrying deep chests and thick muscular frames. When standing upright on their hind legs, some individuals can stretch over 7 feet (2.1 m) tall, easily towering over most people.

Quick answer
A typical Great Dane stands about 33 inches (0.85 m) tall at the shoulder, stretches 4.1 feet (1.25 m) long, and weighs around 143 pounds (65 kg). This puts its back level with an average kitchen counter and gives it the weight of an adult human.
