A gummy worm is a flexible gelatin candy that measures roughly four inches in length.
Gummy worms are much longer than classic gummy bears, which are usually under an inch (2.5 cm) in height. Novelty candy makers also produce giant versions that can reach over 24 inches (61 cm) long and weigh more than 3 pounds (1.4 kg). Because the gelatin mixture is soft and elastic, a standard gummy worm can stretch noticeably beyond its resting length when pulled.
