About
A golf cart is a compact utility vehicle designed to transport people and equipment at low speeds.
Standard models seat two people, while extended utility or neighborhood versions can stretch several feet longer to carry four or six riders. Despite their open plastic and fiberglass frames, heavy electric battery banks or gas engines bring their weight close to half a ton. Their narrow profile allows two carts to pass each other comfortably on paths designed for walking and cycling.
From Wikipedia
A golf cart, golf buggy, or golf car, is a small motorized vehicle designed originally to carry two golfers and their golf clubs around a golf course with less effort than walking. Over time, variants were introduced that were capable of carrying more passengers, had additional utility features, or were certified as a street legal low-speed vehicle.
