About
A standard holiday evergreen tree is sized to stand upright inside typical living rooms.
While wild fir and spruce trees can grow taller than 100 feet (30 m), trees grown for homes are harvested young to fit beneath standard eight-foot ceilings. Most family trees range from 6 to 8 feet (1.8 to 2.4 m) in height, though miniature tabletop varieties can be under 3 feet (0.9 m). In contrast, public outdoor display trees can exceed 75 feet (23 m) in height and weigh more than 20,000 pounds (9,000 kg).
From Wikipedia
A Christmas tree is a decorated tree, usually an evergreen conifer such as a spruce, pine or fir, associated with the celebration of Christmas. It may also be an artificial tree of similar appearance.
