About
The Boeing 747-400 is a massive wide-body airliner stretching over 231 feet from nose to tail.
The 747-400 is much larger than standard single-aisle passenger jets, featuring a wide twin-aisle cabin and an elevated upper deck behind the cockpit. It shares its 231.6-foot length with earlier models like the 747-300, but added wingtip extensions make its wingspan broader than previous versions. When fully loaded with passengers, cargo, and fuel, the plane can weigh more than double its empty mass at takeoff.
