About
A toy marble is a small glass sphere measuring just over half an inch across, commonly used in tabletop games.
Marbles can range from tiny 0.2-inch (0.5 cm) spheres to large display pieces reaching 1.4 inches (3.5 cm) or more. The most familiar playing pieces sit right in the middle at about 0.63 inches (1.6 cm), while the designated shooter marbles used to knock them are often around 0.75 inches to 1 inch (1.9 to 2.5 cm). Because they are solid glass, stone, or clay, they pack notable weight into a very tiny footprint, giving them the momentum needed to roll easily.
