A kind of salamander · also called Proteus, human fish
About
The olm is a blind, cave-dwelling salamander that stretches about one foot long with a slender, eel-like body.
The olm is the largest cave-dwelling vertebrate in Europe, easily outsizing most other underground amphibians. Adults typically reach 8 to 12 inches in total length, with females growing slightly longer and heavier than males. Despite its foot-long body, it rarely weighs more than a single ounce. This long, ribbon-like shape helps it slide easily through tight water channels in subterranean limestone rock.
From Wikipedia
Olms are the nine species in the genus Proteus. They are aquatic salamanders, and the only exclusively cave-dwelling chordate genus found in Europe.

Quick answer
An olm is about 12 inches (0.3 m) long, 1.2 inches (0.03 m) tall, and weighs just 0.7 ounces (0.02 kg). That gives it the length of a standard school ruler, but with an extremely thin build.
