About
Maca powder is a ground Andean root that weighs about 4.6 ounces (130 grams) per level cup.
Maca powder has a bulk density of roughly 34 pounds per cubic foot (0.55 grams per milliliter). Because it is finely ground from a dried root, it settles in containers much like grain flour. It is noticeably denser than lighter pantry staples such as unsweetened cocoa powder, yet lighter than granulated sugar. A common 1-pound (454-gram) bag occupies about 3.5 US cups (825 milliliters) of volume.
