A kind of person · also called kid, children
About
A young human whose size falls roughly midway between a newborn baby and a fully grown adult.
Children cover a broad size range as their bodies steadily develop between toddlerhood and puberty. Around age ten, boys and girls are typically similar in height and weight, with growth rates tracking closely together. Girls often experience an earlier growth spurt, briefly matching or passing boys in stature right before adolescence. By adulthood, a person will usually gain another foot of height and more than double this weight.

Quick answer
A representative school-age child stands about 4 feet 7 inches (1.4 m) tall, measures 14 inches (0.35 m) thick, and weighs around 77 pounds (35 kg). That makes them roughly three-quarters the height and half the weight of an average adult.
