About
The woolly mammoth was an extinct Ice Age relative of modern elephants, standing over ten feet tall.
Despite its reputation as an enormous beast, the woolly mammoth was similar in size to living Asian elephants, its closest surviving relatives. It was also noticeably smaller than its neighbor, the Columbian mammoth, which lived across North America at the same time. Adult bulls grew considerably larger and heavier than cows, carrying massive curved tusks to brush through snow. Many people assume it was a giant among elephants, but its thick fur coat made it look bulkier than it actually was.

Quick answer
A woolly mammoth stood about 10.5 feet (3.2 m) tall at the shoulder, stretched 14.8 feet (4.5 m) long, and weighed around 13,200 pounds (6,000 kg). That puts it at roughly the same weight and height as a modern African bush elephant.
