About
Triceratops horridus was a massive, three-horned dinosaur that grew about as heavy as a modern African elephant.
Triceratops was among the largest of all horned dinosaurs, easily outweighing earlier ceratopsian relatives. Its massive skull could reach over 7 feet (2.1 m) long, making up nearly a third of its total body length. Fossil specimens show adult sizes varied based on maturity, but full-grown individuals routinely achieved multi-ton body masses. Instead of carrying weight across a long neck and tail, its mass was concentrated in a barrel-shaped torso supported by thick, column-like legs.

Quick answer
Triceratops horridus measured about 28 feet (8.5 m) long, stood 10 feet (3 m) tall, and weighed around 15,400 pounds (7,000 kg). That gives it roughly the same body weight as a large male African bush elephant.
