About
The striped skunk is a common North American mammal roughly the size and weight of a house cat.
It is the most common skunk species in North America and is noticeably larger than the spotted skunk. Males are typically slightly larger and heavier than females, and their weights can increase substantially in the fall as they store fat for winter. Much of its total length comes from its bushy tail, which can make up more than a third of its overall body.
From Wikipedia
The striped skunk is a skunk of the genus Mephitis that occurs across much of North America, including southern Canada, the United States, and northern Mexico. It is currently listed as least concern by the IUCN on account of its wide range and ability to adapt to human-modified environments.
