About
The peregrine falcon is a compact bird of prey that is roughly the size of a common crow.
Female peregrine falcons are considerably larger than males, often weighing roughly thirty percent more. While their bodies are relatively small, their long, pointed wings can span over 3 feet (0.9 m) from tip to tip. Their lightweight build of less than 2 pounds (0.9 kg) helps them maintain a streamlined shape designed for catching other birds midair.
