About
The olive baboon is a large African monkey that grows to about 55 pounds (25 kg).
This monkey is one of the largest members of the Old World monkey family. Males are noticeably larger than females, often weighing nearly twice as much. Their sturdy, muscular build helps them travel long distances on all fours across open savannas and forests. While they are lighter than apes like chimpanzees, their heavy frames make them formidable among ground-dwelling primates.
