A kind of horse · also called Mini horse
About
A miniature horse is a specially bred horse type that stands only waist-high to an adult.
While standard riding horses often weigh over 1,000 pounds (450 kg), miniature horses stay under a fifth of that size. Despite displaying the balanced body proportions of full-sized horses, they are genetically closely related to pony breeds like the Shetland. Breed registries strictly limit their maximum height to between 34 and 38 inches (0.86 and 0.97 m), with males and females growing to roughly the same size.

Quick answer
A miniature horse stands about 33.5 inches (0.85 m) tall, measures 3.3 feet (1 m) long, and weighs roughly 154 pounds (70 kg). This gives it a shoulder height similar to a large dog, though with a much sturdier build.
