About
The Maine Coon is one of the largest domestic cat breeds, known for its heavy build and long, bushy coat.
Males are typically larger than females, and the breed has a much longer body and broader chest than most other domestic cats. Their thick, water-resistant coats and bushy tails add substantial visual volume to an already heavy frame. Unlike typical domestic cats that reach full size by their first year, Maine Coons grow slowly and can take up to four years to reach their full physical size.
