About
The leopard gecko is a small, desert-dwelling lizard that grows to roughly the length of a standard pencil.
Leopard geckos are medium-sized compared to other geckos, growing larger than typical house geckos but remaining far smaller than giant geckos. Adult males tend to be slightly longer and heavier than females, often developing thicker heads and broader bodies. A significant amount of their body mass is concentrated in their thick tails, which store extra fat and water.
From Wikipedia

The leopard gecko is a popular pet, and due to extensive captive breeding it is sometimes considered as the first domesticated species of lizard.
