About
The great egret is a tall, slender wading bird with bright white feathers and an extraordinarily lightweight body.
It is among the largest white egrets in the world, often rivaling the great blue heron in height while remaining noticeably thinner. Males and females look very similar, though males are often slightly larger on average. Despite standing over three feet tall, hollow bones and a lean frame keep its body mass remarkably low so it can easily take flight.
From Wikipedia

Quick answer
A great egret stands about 3.1 feet (0.95 m) tall and spans 2.1 feet (0.65 m) in length, yet it weighs only 2.2 pounds (1 kg). This makes it roughly as tall as a standard kitchen counter, but light enough to weigh less than a small toaster.
