A kind of heron

About
The great blue heron is a tall wetland bird that stands nearly four feet high despite weighing very little.
It is the largest heron species native to North America, easily towering over most other coastal birds. Males are slightly larger than females on average, but both share the same slender, long-legged build. Despite standing close to four feet tall, hollow bones and air sacs keep its overall weight remarkably low so it can take flight easily.
From Wikipedia
The great blue heron is a large wading bird in the heron family (Ardeidae), common near shores of open water and wetlands over most of North and Central America, as well as Northwestern South America, the Caribbean, and the Galápagos Islands. It is occasionally found in the Azores and is a rare vagrant to Europe.
