About
The golden jackal is a slender Eurasian wild canid roughly the size of a medium domestic dog.
This species is considerably smaller and leaner than true wolves, featuring a shorter tail and a more pointed snout. Males are typically slightly larger and heavier than females, though both share a light frame built for opportunistic hunting and scavenging. While its height is similar to a red fox, the golden jackal tends to be heavier, yet it stays roughly half the weight of most wolf species.
