About
The giant oceanic manta ray is the world's largest ray, gliding through open seas with a massive, flattened body.
This species is the largest of all rays, easily outsizing its close relative, the reef manta ray. Mature females tend to be slightly larger than males. Despite their enormous mass, these gentle giants feed almost entirely on tiny zooplankton filtered through their gills.
