About
The European rabbit is a compact burrowing mammal that weighs about as much as a bag of flour.
It is noticeably smaller and more compact than the European hare, having shorter legs and ears. While wild populations generally stay around this typical weight, domestic breeds descended from this species vary from tiny dwarf varieties to massive giants over 15 pounds (6.8 kg). Males and females are similar in overall size, though adult weights fluctuate based on diet and the quality of their habitat.
