A kind of pet food · also called Kibble, Dog kibble, Dry dog kibble

About
Dry dog food is a baked kibble that is relatively light, weighing about 3.5 ounces (99 grams) per cup.
Dry kibble has a bulk density of about 26 pounds per cubic foot (0.42 grams per milliliter). Because kibble pieces are puffed during cooking and pack loosely, a large 30-pound (13.6-kilogram) bag takes up more than 1.1 cubic feet (32 liters) of space. It is significantly lighter by volume than uncooked rice, which packs much tighter with fewer air gaps. Domestic dogs can digest starches as well as meat, so manufacturers use grains and legumes that expand into these lightweight, crunchy pieces.
From Wikipedia
