About
The domestic goat is a compact farm animal that stands roughly waist-high to an adult human.
Goats are close relatives of sheep and share a similar sturdy, four-legged build. Their adult size varies widely by breed, from small miniature goats under 50 pounds (23 kg) to heavy meat breeds exceeding 200 pounds (91 kg). Males, called bucks, are usually noticeably taller and heavier than females, called does. Despite their relatively small frame, their low center of gravity makes them exceptionally stable climbers.
