About
Domestic cows are heavy livestock animals that stand nearly shoulder-height to an adult human.
Body size varies across different cattle breeds, with stocky beef cattle often carrying much more muscle than leaner dairy breeds. Fully grown bulls can easily surpass 2,200 pounds (1,000 kg), while adult females remain significantly lighter. Although domestic cattle are smaller than their extinct wild ancestor, the aurochs, they are still among the largest domesticated herbivores in the world.
From Wikipedia
Cattle are large, domesticated, bovid ungulates widely kept as livestock. They are prominent modern members of the subfamily Bovinae and the most widespread species of the genus Bos.
