About
The coyote is a North American wild canine that is roughly the size of a medium domestic dog.
Coyotes are noticeably smaller than gray wolves and slightly smaller than red wolves, but they are larger than golden jackals. Males are typically heavier than females, and northern populations tend to grow larger than southern ones. Thick fur often makes coyotes look much heavier than their slender bodies actually are.
