About
The common ostrich is the largest living bird on Earth, standing taller than any adult human.
It is the largest of all living birds, outsizing both its close relative, the Somali ostrich, and Australia's emu. Males generally grow taller and heavier than females. Because of their heavy build, they cannot fly, but their long legs give them powerful strides that can cover over 10 feet (3 m) in a single step while running.
From Wikipedia
The common ostrich, or simply ostrich, is a species of flightless bird native to certain areas of Africa and is the largest living species of bird. The common ostrich is one of two extant species of ostriches, the only living members of the genus Struthio in the ratite group of birds.

Quick answer
A common ostrich stands about 8 feet 2 inches (2.5 m) tall, measures 6 feet 11 inches (2.1 m) long, and weighs roughly 265 pounds (120 kg). That makes it tall enough to look over a standard doorway and heavier than an average person.
