About
The central bearded dragon is an Australian lizard that grows to about twenty inches from head to tail.
This species is moderately sized for an agamid lizard, with males generally growing larger than females. Much of its total length comes from its long tail, which often accounts for more than half of its body. While large wild adults can reach nearly 24 inches (60 cm) and 1.2 pounds (550 g), they stay light enough to climb easily onto low branches and fence posts.
