About
The capybara is the world's largest living rodent, growing to the size of a stocky, medium-sized dog.
As the largest rodent on Earth, the capybara is a close relative of the guinea pig, though it is dozens of times heavier. Adult females are generally slightly heavier than adult males. While their heavy bodies make them look clumsy on land, their weight is supported by partially webbed toes that help them swim smoothly through rivers and swamps.
From Wikipedia
The capybara or greater capybara is the largest living rodent, native to all countries in South America except Chile. It is a semiaquatic herbivore that inhabits savannas and dense forests, living near and in bodies of freshwater and feeding mainly on grasses and aquatic plants.

Quick answer
A typical adult capybara measures about 3.9 feet (1.2 m) long, stands 2 feet (0.6 m) tall, and weighs around 110 pounds (50 kg). This puts it at roughly the same weight as a large dog, but with a broader, barrel-shaped body.
