A kind of ball · also called Ping-pong ball, Ping pong ball
About
A table tennis ball is an extremely lightweight, hollow plastic sphere measuring just under 1.6 inches across.
Official rules require the ball to measure 1.6 inches (0.04 m) in diameter, an increase from an older 1.5-inch standard adopted to slightly slow down rallies. The ball is hollow and filled with air, making it one of the lightest pieces of equipment in modern sports. While a golf ball has a similar width, a table tennis ball weighs less than one-sixteenth as much.
From Wikipedia
Table tennis is a racket sport derived from tennis but distinguished by its playing surface being atop a stationary table, rather than the court on which players stand. Either individually or in teams of two, players take alternating turns returning a light, hollow ball over the table's net onto the opposing half of the court using small rackets until they fail to do so, which then results in a point for the opponent.
